Strawberry Melon Aqua Fresca

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1-3/4 cup strawberries sliced
  • 2-1/2 cup watermelon peeled, cubed 1”
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint chopped
  • 5 cup water

Instructions

  • Make simple syrup: Place first listed water and sugar into a pot, stir and bring to a boil to melt the sugar. Remove from heat and cool.
  • Meanwhile, place strawberries and watermelon into a blender and puree until very smooth.
  • Add mint and blend until chopped. Combine with second listed water. Strain and serve chilled or over ice.

Chef Tips

Other berries can be substituted. Fresh basil can also be a blending herb for this drink.
